This is me

I was born on Nov. 2nd 1948 in Graz in Styria, Austria, where I live today.

Since 1973 I am married to Eleonore; we have two sons: Alexander (1976) and Thomas (1979).

I studied theoretical physics at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (thesis advisors: R. Baier and P. Urban); Promotio summa cum laude sub auspiciis praesidentis (1973).

Positions at Graz (1973), Karlsruhe (Germany, 1974-1976), Graz(1976-1980, 1978: Habilitation), CERN (Switzerland, 1980-1982); Graz (1982-)

Since 1983 I am professor at Inst. f. theoret. Physics, Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, retired 2014.
